Message from Principal

I am proud to serve as the Principal of Dumfries Elementary! Dumfries has a small, close-knit school community that deeply cares for its students and families. Our teachers and staff are dedicated and ensure all students meet their academic and behavior goals. We pride ourselves on our collaboration and commitment to making sure all our students are thriving.

Prior to serving as Principal at Dumfries, I worked in Prince William County for over 15 years in various roles such as a special education teacher, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teacher, 1st grade teacher, 2nd grade teacher, and Reading Recovery teacher. I am passionate about serving my community. My interests include improving equity in access and opportunity for families and students, strengthening inclusive practices, and helping students find their love for reading.

I grew up in Prince William County and currently reside here with my husband and two daughters. In my spare time, I like to play board games, read books, exercise, and spend time with family.

One of my goals is to make sure Dumfries partners with our parents and community. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything! You can reach me at [email protected] or by calling the front office at 703-221-3101. We are truly better when we work together!
