My name is April Angeli-Rodriguez and I am an educator who continues to learn everyday! I've been fortunate to be able to work at some incredible schools in PWCS with some inspiring and talented educators. I continue to grow and learn from my colleagues, students, and families.

I received my elementary education teaching degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania and began my teaching career as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Then I began teaching in Prince William County Schools in Virginia as a 5th grade teacher. During that time, I earned a master's degree in Special Education and an endorsement in Educational Leadership and Supervision from George Mason University. I have worked as an Instructional Consultant and Team Facilitator, a Teacher on Administrative Assignment, a Reading Recovery Teacher, and a Title I Reading Teacher all in PWCS.

I am serving as a Title I Reading Teacher and I have a variety of roles within my job. I work closely with grade level teachers in Collaborative Learning Teams to plan active and engaging lessons. I coach teachers in Balanced Literacy practices as well as model and co-teach lessons with teachers.  I work with small groups or individual students to help students meet grade level expectations in reading and writing.

I enjoy working with the school community. It is my pleasure to work and learn from this community.
